A custom order is more than a non-standard size. It is a documented combination of opening, layout, glass, finish, hardware, screen and project requirements.

Why customization matters
Dealers and builders often need a system to fit an existing opening, match a design intent or coordinate several product types in one project. The selected configuration still has to remain within engineering limits, material availability and any required test or documentation coverage.
What can be configured
1. Size and panel layout
Width, height, panel count and layout can be reviewed within the selected system’s engineering and manufacturing limits. Start with a rough opening or drawing.
2. Opening style
Options may include sliding, folding, hinged, fixed, hung and automatic systems. Available directions, panel combinations and operation depend on the selected model.
3. Glazing
Tempered, laminated, insulated, Low-E and tinted glass options can be reviewed. Availability and any required documentation must be confirmed for the exact system and project.
4. Colors and finishes
Powder-coated, anodized and selected wood-grain finishes may be available. Color, texture, gloss level, sample approval and material availability are confirmed per order.
5. Hardware
Locks, handles, rollers, hinges, closers and motor controls are selected around the product and use case. Brand availability and compatibility are confirmed before quotation.
6. Compatible screens
Retractable or fixed insect-screen options can be coordinated with selected door and window systems when size, track and installation conditions allow.
What “custom” does not mean
It does not mean every option can be combined at any size, or that one report covers every variation. If a project requires a particular standard, rating or approval, that requirement should be stated before the system is selected and quoted.
How a custom order works
- Send the project scope — product type, rough opening, quantity, destination ZIP code, target date and any required standard.
- Confirm a viable system — available configurations, limits, materials and documentation are reviewed before quotation.
- Approve the order details — applicable drawings, sizes, opening direction, finish, glass and hardware are documented before production.
- Production and checks — manufacturing follows the approved scope, with applicable fit, completeness, packing and loading checks.

The approved drawing and order documents define what will be manufactured, together with agreed specifications, tolerances and written terms. Review model, dimensions, handing, finish, glass, hardware and quantity before approval.
